It was our first residency workshop this week and we brought the instruments in our pockets - chopsticks, bowls, a tablecloth, gong, wine glasses and a few bottles. We have large pockets. We started with a theatrical piece by Stephen Montague - Chew Chow Chatterbox. This is a bash commission that we've performed over many years and we thought the students might appreciate a different approach for our first visit. There were some very funny performances from the students and it was also really interesting for us to see the different approaches taken.
